On January 9, 2021, an Ethiopian National defense soldier talked openly on national TV about the ongoing rape of women in Mekelle, Tigray. It was disturbing to hear when the Ethiopian solder spoke concerning rape in war as inevitable claiming, ‘‘ why women in Mekelle city being raped? It wouldn’t be shocking had it been happening during the war, because it is not manageable, so it could be expected.’’ To watch the video:
